With lunar imaging, channel integration can appear to be a bit of a letdown, but is important for creating a mineral moon image. Although there are numerous ways to integrate channels, for lunar processing, Channel Combination is the best and easiest process. But before we integrate the channels, we need to have balanced our brightness levels with Linear Fit.

In this example, I will be combining three images (Red, Green and Blue)

Channel Combination

The channel combination process is extremely easy. You simply select the images for the R, G and B channel.

Once complete, you have a color image.

And this is why for lunar imaging, the channel combination is underwhelming. The integrated image still looks plain. That will change as we move the Lunar Workflow to the Color Saturation process.
